Looking at website designs..

Today we have been looking at creative use of website
designs and all the different ways you can make
or break the site.

By looking at these websites also it gives you ideas on how to create my own site and inspires you to make one.

I took a few screen shots of my personal favourite designs, some websites include flash player and all different features, i even came across a website where you didn't need to click.

Trip to borough.

On Thursday 19th of September, we visited The Borough Market in London. when we arrived at the market we were given a brief talk about the information about the market and the food. Also we were given a folder full of leaflets, business cards, pictures and information slips.

When we walked around the market we spoke to a few of the salesmen/women and were allowed to try most of there food before buying. we had linch at Borough and then headed of to The Tate Museum where we then took sketches and notes. On the way we saw the building where the infamous 'Lock stock and two smoking barrels' was actually filmed, and we even saw some Banksy graffiti.

After that we went to the Bank side gallery where we was given the chance to look around and take down notes and take pictures on the camera.

After that we walked around for a while and then had to wait a good half hour for two classmates to return to the group. After that we set off to the oxo tower, we arrived there and then had a brief look around.

Overall it was a good day and lots of information and pictures were taken.

Web design.

In todays lesson we have been learning about website creation/website codes. (html) based, i found out that html stands for 'hyper text marker language' using this technique, we were asked to create a brief attempt of a short code to make a website using the code. It was hard at first and slightly confusing but after getting to grips with how to use code it wasn't so hard. we the learnt how to alter the colour of text ect and height/size and all that.

It was interesting and enjoyable to learn how to do this, i would like to learn more about website creation as it seems a rewarding thing to know and it would be a good feeling to be able to have my own website one day.

This is what the website looked like so far.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
